Yeeyo Lou

I was born in Taiwan and grew up on pop radio, but a five-month road trip across America in my camper van put the wanderer in my soul. From the skyline of New York City to the open ranges of Montana and South Dakota, from the luxury high-rises to the deserted valley towns in New Mexico, the many ways of life that I witnessed then shaped the music I make. Every track comes from a world I stumbled upon along the way, or wished I had.

Singing is my passion, be it in English or Mandarin. I love weaving layers of vocals into a story, whether it is punctuated with dance beats or dusted with a little Americana. That's what happens when you grow up on one side of the world but can't stop being drawn to the other. And that's how it feels when you are grounded on earth but still keep on dreaming...

Good Guy Running | Music Video Preview

50-second preview of the music video for my new single "Good Guy Running", coming October. In this video, the quantum physicist Hank and high lama Miran teleported to Tbilisi, Georgia to start investigating the dark energy that is diminishing the quantum portals worldwide. Miran has been injured and weakened. Gladly, Hank is there to care for him every step of the way, and their friendship turns into a deeper bond.

The animation in this video is a collaboration between AI Dreamland and me. He is a talented animator and it was a great experience working with him. Stay tuned for the full video and song release in October!

Sumi-e Style Conversion | Character Art

This is a style conversion experiment for "Good Guy Running" — a character originally designed in Western comic cel-shaded style, converted into traditional East Asian sumi-e (墨繪, ink wash painting) using the GPT-Image-2 model.

The converted version incorporates bamboo ink wash backgrounds, a traditional red seal stamp, and the Chinese calligraphy "靜水深流 心自澄明" (still waters run deep; still minds settle clear).

Below the Wave Function | Animation Video

In this short clip, the two quantum physicists Lou and Hank were debating spirituality with the high priest Miran, after entering the underground city of Aravyn. What is our reality? Is it matter, or just the perception of matter?

This 30-second clip was directed and generated by Runway Agent. I started out by uploading the reference images of the three characters and the scene, along with a brief outline of the story. Runway Agent wrote the detailed beats of the script, and generated two versions of videos from it. Then I edited them in DaVinci Resolve and combined the best moments into the final production. It took about 4 hours to complete. (English and Mandarin subtitles are available.)

The Horizons Reset | Animation Video Trailer

This is a short story about two quantum physicists accidentally discovering an ancient underground civilization called Aravyn, where they met the high priest Miran, who told them the world's energy was in grave danger. There will be more short stories in this series.

The production pipeline started with character images generated in GPT-Image-2, edited in graphic software, then fed into the Seedance 2.0 video model for animation. I edited and assembled the final cut in DaVinci Resolve, and remixed the background orchestral score. About 80 work hours from first image to finished trailer.
